Rent a Rib boat in Antiparos
Antiparos is a small holiday paradise - a virgin island in the middle of the Aegean. In contrast with the cosmopolitan island of Paros, Antiparos is steadily gaining committed fans who revisit the island during summer to enjoy the beautiful view, happy moments, relaxed mood, friendly people and night life.
Antiparos has a beautiful coast; where sandy beaches alternate with pebble ones, coves with turquoise waters ready for exploration with a rib boat. The island is particularly suitable for maritime excursions with a rib boat as its coastline is the one of the most beautiful among the Cyclades with caves, rocks of various colors and amazing beaches, many of which can only be assessed from the sea.
Epitafios is one of the most beautiful places in Antiparos. There you can visit beautiful beaches with green waters and natural sea caves. Also, if you are lucky enough, you can see seals or dolphins.
The small uninhabited islands located around Antiparos such as Despotiko, Revmatonisi, Kimitiri, Strogilo, Kavouras, Saliangou, Kokkinos and Mavros Tourlos are also nice for visiting. Some of these islands were important centers during the ancient Cycladic period and archaeological excavations are still progressing there.
Anyone visiting Antiparos must not miss the opportunity to see the sunset and, if lucky, to witness the exact moment when the sky and the sea have the same pink-red color and the landscape looks like it’s stolen from a painting.
Visitors should also see the treasure hidden in Antiparos that is a cave in the SE part of the island. The cave of Antiparos is of international interest because of its size; it has a wonderful and rich stalactite and stalagmite adornment, an unobstructed view throughout its space and is linked to important historical events.
Local food
Antiparos is famous for its fresh fish, local meat, cheese and raki made in traditional cauldrons of the island during October. Wild rabbit in wine sauce, rooster patidos, carnival ravioli and Christmas bourekakia are among the island’s most famous local dishes.
